Ann Arbor, Michigan
This happened.
Why we were there: Ann Arbor Art Fair - State Street
When we were there: July 2022
How was the show: This was our second time at this show and we love it. The show has a great attendance and it is a great place to visit. I hope we will be back here again.
Where did we go: We did not build in much tourist time this year for our trek up to Michigan. No rock hunting this year, but we did stop in Indianapolis to see the Speedway. They had a Ferrari showcase so we spent a few minutes listening to the purr of fancy race cars race by. After that we stopped at the Kurt Vonnegut Museum which was just a few minutes away. Their mission “We champion the legacy of Kurt Vonnegut, the principles of free expression, and common decency.” How could you not love this place? Great exhibits and learned a lot about Vonnegut and his work.
We stay in Ypsilanti for this show. And our place this year was right in downtown Ypsilanti. It was pretty cute with lots of restaurants and a fabulous clothing store called Mix. I bought a dress!
What is on our list for the next visit: We really want to spend some time in Detroit, plans keep getting foiled for that. We pass the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green Kentucky on the way. And rock hunting…I really would like to get to the upper peninsula.
